Consistency through consensus: Only transactions deemed valid by a majority of nodes (achieved through a consensus mechanism) are added to the blockchain. This ensures all nodes have the same version of the ledger. Think of it like a community meeting where everyone receives a copy of the agenda (transaction). Each person (node) reviews it, and only when most agree (consensus) is it added to the official record (blockchain). This P2P approach eliminates the need for a single authority and promotes data consistency across the network.

 

Additionally, when a new block is mined and added to the blockchain, all nodes update their copy of the ledger to reflect the new state of the network. Nodes work together in this manner to ensure the security, integrity, and correctness of the blockchain system.
